Hardison & Cochran Attorneys Recognized by Super Lawyers

The law firm of Hardison & Cochran has received some notable recognition lately. The most recent honor, which was just announced, was the listing of two of our attorneys by the Super Lawyers publication.

Benjamin T. Cochran, managing partner of the firm, was recognized as a 2015 North Carolina Super Lawyer while partner J. Adam Bridwell was chosen as a 2015 North Carolina Rising Star.

A Thomson Reuters business, Super Lawyers rates outstanding lawyers in more than 70 fields of practice who are highly respected by their peers and hold a high level of achievement. The selection is notable because only a small percentage of the attorneys in the state receive the Super Lawyers recognition each year.

Cochran and Bridwell are both workers’ compensation attorneys and board certified specialists in North Carolina workers’ compensation law.

Cochran also was listed in the 21st edition of The Best Lawyers in America 2014 in the field of Workers’ Compensation Law – Claimants. In addition to individual honors, Hardison & Cochran was included among the “Best Law Firms” in the 2015 edition of U.S. News – Best Lawyers.

“We’re honored by the Super Lawyers selections because they reflect the successful results we have obtained for our clients,” Cochran said. “We appreciate that others in the legal profession recognize our achievements.”

Each year, Super Lawyers selections are made through a comprehensive process involving a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by attorneys in the particular practice area.  Each attorney is ranked on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. The effort leads to a credible, comprehensive, and diverse listing of accomplished lawyers in North Carolina. The final Super Lawyers list includes no more than five percent of the attorneys in the state.

The selection of Rising Stars involves a similar rigorous process. In addition, a candidate must be 40 years or younger or in practice for no more than 10 years. No more than 2.5 percent of lawyers are selected as Rising Stars.

Bridwell joined Hardison & Cochran in 2005 after obtaining a juris doctorate from Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University.

Super Lawyers lists are published in its magazines across the nation along with some of the top city and regional magazines and newspapers in the country. Super Lawyers Magazine also features profiles of attorneys. For more information about Super Lawyers, go to SuperLawyers.com.
