Following in the traditions of “We make it happen by putting you first!”, Hardison & Associates has made the commitment to team-up with MDA of Eastern North Carolina in a true partnership committing their time, talents and funds to help in the research of and fighting against the many diseases that fall under the MDA umbrella. Hardison & Associates is committed to “giving back” to the community that has supported them for over 26 years. Having grown from a “one man show” in Dunn, NC, Hardison & Associates realizes the importance of community, charity and “team work”. They feel that living by the golden rule and practicing what you preach are truly the only ways to make a difference in the lives of those whom you come in contact with. They believe that community involvement is just another way they can help those in need. In their commitment to MDA, Hardison & Associates will be sponsoring the quarterly MDA newsletter, assisting with fundraising for the Imagine Gala, participating in the National Labor Day Telethon, and becoming a T-Shirt sponsor for the annual Camp Carefree campers. It is their goal to continue this commitment and partnership for many years to come and hope to grow in their commitment of time and money each year.

Avandia has been shown to have serious side effects, including heart problems and osteoporosis, resulting in an increased risk of bone fractures, and pulmonary hypertension (PPH).

The drug, manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline, is used to treat Type 2 diabetes by helping patients control their blood sugar levels. An FDA panel has acknowledged an elevated risk of heart attacks from the drug but decided to keep it on the market with a "black box" warning.

What To Do Right After An Accident?

Having an accident can be a very stressful situation whether you are injured or not. However, there are a few things you can do right after an accident to make the ordeal a little less stressful. First, at the scene get as much information as you can about the other party. Get the driver’s name, address, phone number and license plate number. If there are any witnesses that saw the accident and come to check on you, get the witness’s name, address and phone number. Many times witnesses leave before the police arrive. However, if you have this information you can give it to the police officer and she/he can follow-up with the witness if there is a dispute as to what happened in the accident.
