Personal Injury
William D. Owens was born and raised in Oxford, North Carolina. He then moved southeast to attend the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. Prior to attending law school, he worked as a financial disputes analyst for IBM in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. After time in the business world, he attended Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University where he earned a Juris Doctorate while graduating with honors. While at Campbell he earned Book Awards for Pre-Trial Litigation and North Carolina Motor Vehicle Law. He also received Honors Awards in Advanced Trial Advocacy.
Mr. Owens has dedicated his whole career as an attorney to the civil litigation of injury claims where he has only represented plaintiffs. He feels that practicing the law is both an honor and a privilege. He attributes his desire to bring his best everyday to the office and court room due to the satisfaction he feels when a client tells him he has done a good job and helped them and their family out in a difficult situation. Mr. Owens is a member of the Association of Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America. The AITL is a group of committed attorneys who have joined together to help eliminate unsafe and illegal interstate trucking practices.
