Workers’ Compensation

Growing up in Williamston, North Carolina, Joel Jackson Hardison had a first hand view of a career as an attorney. His father was a district attorney and then a district court judge until his retirement four years ago. After seeing that one could live a happy, fulfilled life as an attorney, Mr. Hardison followed in his father’s foot steps. After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he went on to earn his Juris Doctorate at the UNC School of Law where he held a spot on the Dean’s List.

Mr. Hardison’s first four years of his career were spent defending insurance companies in Workers’ Compensation cases in Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina. In 2008 he joined Hardison & Cochran’ Workers’ Compensation Division. He believes being a voice for the injured party is personally more satisfying.
